General Information for Referees Working Games at Kentucky Indoor
Ø      Arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to your game and let a member of staff know you are there.  If you are running late call the facility to let
them know you are running late Lexington 219-1499
Ø     Do not leave after your last game until you see your replacement referee.  If your replacement referee is late
please start the game (You will be paid) and make sure the cafe workers know to
contact the missing referee to see what the problem is.  
Ø      Referee score sheets are at the concession area or with the referee working games ahead of you.
Ø     2 biggest problem with score sheets are
1. Scores entered backwards Make sure you know which team you are writing
down the score for  Don't assume the teams are sitting in the correct location  Ask the coach the team name
and write down the colors if you need to.  
2. Can't read scores  WRITE CLEARLY!
Ø      Failure to fill out a score sheet will result in loss of pay for the game or games the score sheet is not properly filled out for.
Ø      Don’t just stand by the clock.  Move around the field.  Follow play!  Blow your whistle as loud as you can in youth games.  
Ø      If there is a forfeit the referee will work the game if the teams want to scrimmage.

Ø      After your games leave the score sheet for the next referee or give it to the manager on duty if you are the last referee working that day.
Ø      If you stay at the facility change out of your referee gear.  Don’t be in the facility with your gear on unless you are refereeing.
